• Nursery - Year 3 Pupils Return to School

  Our Nursery - Year 3 pupils returned to the classroom on Monday 8th March. There were lots happy smiles when they were reunited with their friends again.

• Key Stage 2 Celebrate World Book Day

  📚Key Stage Two pupils had a wonderful day with all their books today on World Book Day 2021. It seems like every pet in Kilrea got in on the act too. Have a look at their fabulous work.📚

  Article 28 states that every child has the right to a quality education. 📚Our Key Stage 1 pupils enjoyed a variety of activities for World Book Day 2021, from sharing books, reading with their pets, dressing up and writing book reviews. 📚

  📚Our Foundation Stage pupils went crazy reading everywhere and anywhere today on World Bank Day 2021. Article 31 states that every child has the right to relax and play. 📚

  

• Nursery Celebration of World Book Day

  📚Our Nursery children have been very busy at home for World Book Day. They completed a scavenger book hunt and had lots of fun dressing up as characters from their favourite books. 📚

• Fairtrade Fortnight

  🍌Fairtrade Fortnight 2021 was a little bit different than in previous years. We had no baked treats in school this year! However, we still managed to share the stories of the farmers who grow and harvest some of our favourite food and drinks, people who are often exploited and underpaid. The pupils of St.Columba’s used a variety of media to tell others about the challenges the farmers and their families face.🍌

  Article 29 - Your education should help you learn to protect the environment and respect other people.

   

  Article 32 - If you work you have the right to be safe and paid fairly.

   

  Article 36 - You have the right to protection from any kind of exploitation.
