Year 7

We've had another very successful Shared Education Programme this year but unlike other years,all classes took part this time.  Our theme this year was S.T.E.M/S.T.E.A.M.  Well done to everyone involved and especially our brilliant pupils from both schools.

Celebrating Maths Week 14th -20th March 2017

As part of Maths Week we were concentrating on the theme of 'Measure'.

P7s enjoyed lots of practical tasks involving all elements of 'Measure'.

P7s had fun today deciding how they would vote in the election.  They read the manifestos and decided who they would vote for.  They recorded their presentations and uploaded them on Seesaw.

Halloween Activities

Welcome to Year 7

P7 pupils had a brilliant visit to the Radar Centre in Belfast today.  Radar is the first fully interactive, safety and life skills education centre.  Young people get the opportunity to explore dangerous situations in a risk free, ground breaking and innovative setting.  We travelled free of charge with Ulsterbus and were accompanied by Kilrea Primary School and Crossroads Primary School pupils.

Celebrating International Literacy Day

Celebrating a century with Roald Dahl -the creative genius who changed the reading experience of millions of children. Year 7 pupils read extracts, created book covers, completed biography tasks and hot seated Roald Dahl asking him lots of difficult questions.

 

Our mini beast trail with The National Trust representatives.  We discovered how many creatures are living under our noses in St.Columba's P.S.  We found new habitats, identified our creatures and returned our friends to their homes when we completed our adventure . Bringing Science alive on our doorstep!!! What a great way to end a busy week.
