‘Causeway Healthy Kids’

This project promotes healthy nutrition, emotional mental health and exercise.

The aim of the programme was to create healthier community attitudes.

The Take 5 Steps were integrated into the programme which was so appropriate to our learning environment since we are a Take 5 school and our pupils relate the steps to their daily learning experiences.

Year 7 pupils thoroughly enjoyed our four day Online Confirmation Programme which was presented by Therese and Mary from the Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre.
The boys and girls will make their Sacrament of Confirmation on 9th March with pupils from Crossroads and Carhill Primary Schools.

After a successful Mathletics Trial, we decided to integrate it into our Maths Lessons this year.

Pupils have found the programme excellent, they love achieving certificates for their success in the challenges that are set.

They enjoy playing against each other so it encourages competition and generates success in Numeracy and has a fun element which the pupils love.

We all enjoyed our Annual Santa Walk.It gave the whole school an opportunity to Connect. The older pupils helped the younger children. # Take 5
