Christmas Jumper Pop-Up Shop

On Tuesday 6th December, the PTA held a successful pop-up shop in the school foyer to provide parents with the opportunity to purchase pre-loved Christmas jumpers.

Not only does making use of pre-loved clothing have a fantastic impact on the pocket but it also plays an essential role in sustaining our precious environment and protecting our natural resources. A win-win situation for everyone!

Thank you to everyone who supported this event.

🍞 Toast for Tots 🍞

Each child from Year 1 to Year 7 are greeted with a free slice of toast each morning as part of our daily ‘Toast for Tots’ initiative, generously funded by our PTA. Massive thanks also to James and Louise  Donaghy @ Donaghy Bros. for generously donating additional toasters and to Maggie Dallat for her generosity of time in collecting our loaves.

🎃👻 Spookathon 👻🎃

There was a spooky air around St. Columba’s as all the pupils managed to complete their sponsored 'Spookathon' in style.  There were no broomsticks used, just lots of little legs running around in an effort to keep fit and raise much needed funds for our school.  The total amount raised for school resources was £4341. Special congratulations to our Nursery Class which raised the most money.  A massive thank you to our parents and guardians who put so much effort into the children’s costumes and who continually support their children in so many ways.

Thanks to our PTA each class has now received a box of games and activities to use in class during inclement weather.  Thank you to all the parents, committee members and staff who help to keep learning fun for our children.

☀️😎 Summer Fair 😎☀️

A massive thank you to our PTA for organising a fantastic Summer Fair.  Thanks also to the staff and to all contributors. It was an absolutely fabulous night, for the adults and children alike, in the wonderful evening sun.  A particular word of thanks to our three special guests: 'Donkey' from 'Grassmen', the recently crowned Miss Northern Ireland, Anna Henry and magician, Rodd Hogg who added greatly to the occasion. All monies raised by the PTA this year will go towards improving standards and resources for all our pupils. 👏🏻

🎶☘️ St. Patrick's Day Disco ☘️🎶

We held another very successful disco raising £500 which will go towards the PTA fund for our school.  As you will already know, the PTA is presently focusing on acquiring outdoor play facilities for all our children. We hope that this will be realised between now and June.  The PTA would like to thank all those who returned the recent questionnaires. This information will be very beneficial in moving forward as a group.

A massive thank you to our PTA on their first fundraising event! The children's disco was a huge success and lots of fun was had by all the children (and adults). A great event as we reach the last week of the school year! 🎤💃🏼🎤
