We read some of "The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch".
Then we worked in our group to work out a way to
get the lunch to Mr Grinling without the seagulls
eating it. Have a look at some of our ideas!
We put together all of our work from our Shared
Education Project for everyone to see.
We went on a Colour Walk around
the school to see if we could spot all the
different colours.
Fun at Belfast Zoo
We went to Belfast Zoo with our friends
from Kilrea Primary School. We
had a great day looking at all the
animals. We even got to play in the park.
We had our second Shared Education Day with Kilrea Primary
School. We made animal masks and used k'nex to
make lots of different animals. We also used magnetic blocks
to make animal enclosures, just like in the zoo!
We spent a lovely morning in Kilrea Primary School for
our first meeting in our Shared Education Programme.
Libby Mailey joined us and introduced us to many fun
dances and movement activities.
We had a terrific time!
We all dressed up as a character from a story we enjoy.
Can you work out who we all are?
We brought in some moving toys. We looked at how each toy moved.
Congratulations to Cathan and Lena for all their hard work!
Congratulations Oliver and Kaja on receiving your Pupil of the Month awards for November!
We made fire breathing dragons.
We had to build a bridge across the moat to get in to the castle.
NSPCC
The NSPCC came to school to talk to us. They told us about 'Buddy'. Buddy told us that we should talk to a trusted adult if we feel afraid or worried.
We dressed up in our Hallowe'en costumes.
The Hallowe'en Spellathon was lots of fun!
Then we made exploding fireworks. 💥
We won second place in "The Best Attendance" competition for October.
We are so proud and have our silver trophy displayed in our classroom.
Congratulations to Keelan on receiving Pupil of the Month for October.
Well done keelan!
We went for a walk in our Woodland area to look for signs of Autumn. We collected lovely colourful leaves. Then we wrote a poem about Autumn Leaves.
We used junk items to make building site vehicles.
What vehicles can you see?
Congratulations to Niamh and Amy.
Niamh received the 'Principal's Pick' and Amy received the Year 2 'Pupil of the Month'.
Well done girls!
We were looking at all the ways of making 6. We threw 6 beanbags at a hoop and counted how many were inside the hoop and how many were outside the hoop. Both numbers then add up to 6!
We are learning all about The Building Site!
Have a look at some of the activities we have been doing in our classroom.
We really enjoy playing number games.
We played the "Walking Number Line" game outside.
