get the lunch to Mr Grinling without the seagulls

Texaco Children's Art Competition
Congratulations to Gracie who won a prize in the All Ireland
Texaco Children's Art Competition. She had a lovely day
out in Dublin with her family where she received her
prize. Gracie was very happy!

Fun at Belfast Zoo
We went to Belfast Zoo with our friends
from Kilrea Primary School. We
had a great day looking at all the
animals. We even got to play in the park.

We had our second Shared Education Day with Kilrea Primary
School. We made animal masks and used k'nex to
make lots of different animals. We also used magnetic blocks
to make animal enclosures, just like in the zoo!

Shared Education
We spent a lovely morning in Kilrea Primary School for
our first meeting in our Shared Education Programme.
Libby Mailey joined us and introduced us to many fun
dances and movement activities.

The weight of the sand forced the truck to go faster down
the slope and so it went further across the floor!

NSPCC
The NSPCC came to school to talk to us. They told us about 'Buddy'. Buddy told us that we should talk to a trusted adult if we feel afraid or worried.

Autumn Walk
We went for a walk in our Woodland area to look for signs of Autumn. We collected lovely colourful leaves. Then we wrote a poem about Autumn Leaves.

The Building Site🛠👬👭
On Friday morning we put on our reflective vests and walked up the road to look at the building being constructed at the Diamond. We met Matthew and Robert who very kindly answered all our questions and let us take some photographs. We all had an excellent learning experience.....and a nice walk too!
During Circle Time we talked about our favourite thing to do.
Then we made a picture to show us doing our favourite things.😀👏
We read the story of "The 3 Little Pigs".
Then we made our own books of the story.
Outside Numeracy
We were looking at all the ways of making 6. We threw 6 beanbags at a hoop and counted how many were inside the hoop and how many were outside the hoop. Both numbers then add up to 6!
Happy Birthday Roald Dahl!
In Year 2 we celebrated Roald Dahl's 100th birthday!
We watched some clips of his popular stories - Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG and The 3 Little Pigs.
Then we drew a picture of our favourite story.
Some of us brought in some Roald Dahl books, CD's, DVD's and pictures.
