    The boys and girls continued their work for Rights Respecting Schools. This week they explored Article 31: The right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities. They showcased their favourite forms of relaxation and play. 🎨🤾‍♂️

  • Aware NI Poetry Competition

    ✍️Our Year 7 pupils took part in Aware NI's poetry competition for Children's Mental Health Week. We were so impressed with the standard of entries, we had to share these fabulous poems from our in-school finalists. Well done boys and girls, your prizes will be ready for collection after Mid-Term. ✍️

    The pupils of St. Columba’s celebrated Safer Internet Day a little differently today. This year’s theme, ‘An internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world’ was explored through participation in a range of activities throughout all classes. Now, more than ever, we are all spending more time on line. The importance and significance of celebrating together has never been greater!

  • Rights Respecting: Articles of the Week

    Have a look at the range of different Rights Respecting activities the pupils took part in last week. The main theme running through all activities was that of discrimination. Article 2 - The convention applies to everyone without discrimination. Article 19 - we have the right to be protected from being hurt or mistreated, in body or mind. Article 37 - no one is allowed to punish you in a cruel or harmful way and Article 38 - protection in war. #RightsRespectingSchool #Articlesoftheweek #GoingForGold
