  • Oran Kearney Visits St.Columba's!

    Thu 30 Mar 2017

Today we had the privilege of a visit from Coleraine FC manager, Oran Kearney! Our Key Stage 2 footballers loved the question and answer session with the ex-Linfield star. Manager Kearney gave some highly inspirational words of wisdom to our soccer team who go forward to represent the school this Monday in the National Futsal Finals.

We would like to thank Oran for taking the time out to visit our school and to wish Coleraine FC the best of luck for their big game on Saturday! ⚽️🌟⚽️

  • African Famine Appeal

    Fri 24 Mar 2017
A massive thank you to all the children, parents, guardians, friends and staff who contributed to our African Famine Appeal.  We raised £1000 which has already been sent to Concern to help get aid to all the starving men, women and children there. This colossal amount was raised through the generosity of our school community. We will continue to raise money during Lent through class mission boxes, non-uniform day on March 31st and by raising funds from our Passion Play which this year will be presented in St. Anne's at 7pm on Tuesday 11th April.
  • Maths Week Madness

    Tue 21 Mar 2017
A very successful 'Maths Week' ended yesterday. We must express our appreciation to all parents and children for their effort and support. We were overwhelmed by your creativity and ability to 'think outside the box'.  The standard of the entries was extremely high and it was very difficult to choose winners.  Prizes will be awarded during Friday's assembly. Well done and thank you from the Maths Team! #mathsweek2017 #measuremadness 📏🔢🕑👨🏻‍🍳👩🏼‍🍳📸
  • Green Day Fundraiser

    Thu 16 Mar 2017

Well done to Key Stage 1 who presented their wonderful 'Irish Saints' Assembly' this morning.  They used a culmination of song, dance, drama, story telling and poetry to honour the lives of St. Columba, St. Brigid and St. Patrick.

Everyone looked fabulous today in all their shades of green for St. Patrick's Day. This afternoon the school sent off £1000 to the Emergency African Famine Appeal. Thanks to everyone who donated money for this very worthy cause.

We hope you all have a wonderful St. Patrick's Weekend! ☘️

    Fri 10 Mar 2017
As always today has been one of the highlights of our school calendar as Year 6 took part in the 'Fairtrade Bake-off'. The standard was extremely high and our three local judges: Anne-Marie Henry, Morag O'Kane and Roisin Dowds had such a difficult job deciding on the winners. Congratulations to all the Year 6 pupils and their parents who worked so hard on their delicious creations and a massive thank you to our wonderful judges. 🎂🍰🍭

    Wed 08 Mar 2017
What a successful day for both our girls' and boys' soccer teams who took part in the Futsal NI regional playoffs. Both teams reached the finals with the girls finishing the day as runners-up. The boys finished as winners of the tournament and will now go through to the National Futsal Finals on Monday 3rd April in Lisburn. The children were a credit to themselves, their parents and their school. #nationalsherewecome 🏆🏅⚽️

    Thu 02 Mar 2017
World Book Day was celebrated in style once again in St. Columba's! We were overwhelmed by the range and high standard of costumes. We really appreciate the time and effort the children and their parents took to bring their favourite book characters to life. Here are some pictures of some of our wonderful characters. There are many more on our class pages! 📚📖✨
