  • Anti-Bullying Week Competition

    Last week, to mark Anti-Bullying week,  we ran a school wide poster competition on the theme of 'United Against Bullying'. The children produced some really strong poster designs with important messages. Congratulations to the prize winners in each class.
    Article 12: Every child has a right to express their views. 
    Article 31: Every child has the right to take part in artistic activities.

  • World Children’s Day

    👫 The pupils in St. Columba’s had a fantastic day celebrating World Children’s Day! During our virtual assembly members of our Rights Respecting Committee informed all the classes of a treat. Article 12 states that 'every child has the right to have a say'. So the pupils in each class voted on a treat of their choice as part of the celebration. 👫
    Article 31 states that every child has the right to relax and play. What a fun afternoon celebrating our rights. #RightsRespectingSchool #GoingforGold

    What a busy week in St. Columba’s! The children celebrated Anti-Bullying Week 2020 in every classroom with a wide range of fun activities on this year's theme: 'United Against Bullying'. We all got off to a great start with Odd Socks Day on Monday to remind us of what makes us all unique.
    Article 2,12 and 19: The right to non-discriminaion, respect for children's views and protection.
  • Drawing God Day

    We celebrated 'Drawing God Day' in St. Columba's by creating beautiful drawings to represent how we see God in our lives.  

    Article 14: Every child has the right to practise their religion. 

    Article 30: 'Every child has the right to learn and use the language, customs and religion of their family.'
