  • Road of Hope Shoe Box Appeal

    Wed 31 Oct 2018

In recent years, the St. Columba’s community have generously supported the Christmas ‘Shoe Box Appeal’.  This year you are invited to contribute and the items donated will be distributed to young children, teenagers and the elderly.

Road of Hope have appealed particularly for boxes for teenage boys (15+), teenage girls (15+) and the elderly. We have included ideas of suitable items to include.

The shoe box should be wrapped in Christmas paper and have a label attached to

indicate the age/gender for which the shoe box gift is intended. Also, if possible could a donation of £2 be given with each box to help cover the cost of transport.

Our shoe boxes will be collected on Tuesday 13th November.

Thank you in anticipation of your generous response to this appeal.

  • Spooktacular Spookathon

    Fri 26 Oct 2018
🎃 There was a scary, spooky air around St. Columba’s today as all the pupils managed to complete their sponsored 'Spookathon' in style.  There were no broomsticks used, just lots of little legs running around in an effort to keep fit and raise much needed funds for our school.  Thank you to all our PTA members, some of whom joined us this morning and distributed prizes.  Special congratulations to our Nursery Class which raised the most money.  A massive thank you to our parents and guardians who put so much effort into the children’s costumes and who continually support their children in so many ways.  So far we have raised over £4000 and the 'Spookathon' has certainly proved to be the most successful fundraiser so far! The B.O.G. and staff would like to wish everyone a very Happy Hallowe’en and remember to “stay safe”. 🎃
