• Snapchat Warning

  'Snapchat' has introduced a new tracker in the latest update of the app where you can view the EXACT location of your friends if you pinch the screen inwards while in selfie mode. It shows the area, town, street and if you zoom in enough, it shows the house on the street layout. 

  Although legally the minimum age is 13, we are aware that there are a number of children who frequently use 'Snapchat'. If your child uses the app, please check that their location is set to 'ghost mode', that way no-one can see where they are. 

  To do this, ensure the app has been updated then go to 'selfie mode' on the camera, zoom out and it will give you the option of changing who can see your location. 

   

  

• Year 7 Leavers' Celebration and Prizegiving

  Year 7 Leavers' Celebration and Prizegiving took place today. The children presented a wonderful selection of music, memories and song as well as an emotional movie of their last year in St. Columba's. Our Principal, Mrs Kielt, welcomed back a past pupil and guest speaker, Stephen McGrath, who now works as a pilot for Virgin Atlantic. Stephen gave an enthralling speech which inspired the whole audience, adults and children alike, to follow their dreams. He produced an amazing video to share aspects of life as a pilot. Stephen then presented the children with their awards. This special afternoon ended with everyone enjoying light refreshments.  #leaverscelebration2017 #followyourdreams 🎉🏆👨🏻‍✈️

• Castle Cup Football Tournament

  Well done to all our boys who had a great day out at the Castle Cup Tournament! Our A team finished top of their group having won all their group matches. They got through to the quarter finals but were narrowly beaten by Anahorish. Our C team also had a great day of sport and progressed through to the play offs. #CastleCup #Welldoneboys🏐
