🏆🏐⚽️ St. Columba's Primary School Gaelic and Soccer teams would like to say a massive thank you to Sean Bateson, past pupil and Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, for inviting them to the Lord Mayor's Parlour at Cloonavin, to celebrate their success this year in both Gaelic Football and Soccer. The St. Columba’s boys won the prestigious South Derry Championship (Gaelic Football) and the Killowen Cup (Soccer). They have done themselves, their families and St. Columba’s proud this year! 🏆🏐⚽️
Mrs Maguire, Mrs McCloskey and children from Nursery, Year 1, Year 4 and Year 7 travelled to Lisburn Civic Centre yesterday to receive our Gold and Silver Healthy Eating Awards. The awards were presented by TV broadcaster Claire McCollum and were followed by dance sessions with Fitness Freddy. It was a very successful day and great fun was had by all.😀
Congratulations to our camogie team who had a very successful day at the Castle Cup. The girls came top of their group and went on to beat Glen in the quarter final and Bellaghy in the semi final. They met a very strong Swatragh team in the final. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be their day but they were delighted to receive the runners up medal. Thank you to St Pat’s for organising a great day!
Big congratulations to our boys who took part in the All County Finals in Owenbeg. This was a big occasion for the boys with the top 8 teams in Derry competing to win the Calvert Cup. The boys gave it their all and were very unlucky to be beaten by a single point in the semi final. We are so proud of each and every one of them. They are great ambassadors for St Columba’s and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
Congratulations to our boys football team who had a very successful day at the Castle Cup. The boys came top of their group and went on to beat Draperstown in the quarter final and Bellaghy in the semi final. They met a very strong Lavey team in the final. Congratulations to the girls’ football team who had a great day out at the South Derry Girls’ Football Championship. They played really well in the group section and qualified for a place in the semi finals.
