  • MINOR WORKS

    Wed 06 Sep 2017
As you may have noticed we are having an additional classroom added to our school and we are also having substantial work being carried out on the ground floor of the main building. The works are estimated to last until December, when we hope to have the school running as normal, but as you will appreciate we cannot give you a definitive date. Although our curriculum is not being affected in any way, we are unable to invite parents/guardians/family members to our school assemblies, due to lack of space and hence it is a Health and Safety issue. However, you will be able to access photographs and videos via Seesaw and Facebook. We really appreciate your support and understanding at the start and end of the school day. The restrictions of access to the school will last for the duration of the minor works and we depend on your continued consideration and goodwill.
  • WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

    Wed 06 Sep 2017

A warm welcome back to all our pupils, parents and staff. A special word of welcome to our new pupils, Ronan, Shaylyn and Maja and to all our children beginning Primary 1 and Nursery. We also welcome to St Columba’s our new teachers Miss Coyle and Mr Murphy and our new classroom assistant Mrs Jackie Kirk. A massive thank you to everyone for getting the school ready for the new school year under such difficult and challenging circumstances. All the pupils are looking extremely smart in their new school uniforms. Girls are allowed to wear their dresses until Hallowe’en (weather permitting). The school tie is an important part of our uniform and should be worn on a daily basis. Ties are available from the school office. Pupils must bring their P.E. uniform on their allocated P.E. days. N.B. Pupils will not be permitted to do P.E. in shoes. Dark trainers must be worn by all pupils on a daily basis.
