• Zomba Action Project

  Elizabeth and Roisin from ZAP visited to show the pupils a snippet of how hard life is in Zomba.  We presented them with a cheque for £300 from our 'Hungry Baby’ money. They thanked us very much for both the donation and all the uniforms that have been sent to Zomba from our school community.

  

• Beginning of School Year Mass

  Today we came together to celebrate mass for the beginning of the school year.  We were joined by our Parish Priest Fr John Cargan and past pupil, Fr Ciaran Hegarty who celebrated the mass. Fr Hegarty spoke with very fond memories about his time at St. Columba’s.  The theme of the mass was 'sharing' which is something which we will be focusing on this year. Our school choir, under the leadership of Miss Aoife Coyle, greatly added to this wonderful celebration.

   

  

• Schools Fitness Week with the Bodycoach

  🏋🏼‍♂️ Last week, pupils in Years 3-7 had the opportunity to participate in a live fitness session with the Bodycoach, Joe Wicks.  Everyone had great fun while feeling the benefits of exercise on our bodies and minds. #schoolsfitnessweek #thebodycoach #healthybody #healthymind 🏋🏻‍♀️

  

• PTA Annual General Meeting

  The Annual General Meeting of our P.T.A. will take place in the main school building on Monday 24th September at 7.30pm.  All new and non-committee members welcome.  Tea and coffee provided! We look forward to seeing you all there!
