  Well done to everyone for participating in RED DAY in aid of the British Heart Foundation!
  We raised a staggering £304.35 for the charity!

  

• Year 6 Visit Hutchinson Engineering

  What an EXCITING day we had St. Columba's on Thursday! We are the first ever primary school to make a visit to the leading Hutchinson Engineering firm, situated right here in Kilrea! This leading company welcomed us to their factory where Year Six enjoyed a tour, board room session and a 'build a bridge' challenge!
  At the end of our visit was the unveiling of the winner of the competition (this was run by Michelle and Miss K Crozier, the Y6 children had the chance to design a poster represe...nting the school life and the winner's was to be laser cut and presented) the winner was Caghla Bradley! Not only was Caghla presented with her own laser cutting but the school were presented with a larger version to be hung up in the school, a generous act of kindness on the firm's behalf!
