  On Thursday we celebrated 'World Book Day' by coming to school dressed as 'Active Readers' in our active gear. 🏃🏼‍♀🏃🏽📚 Pupils in each class enjoyed activities to mark the occasion and also brought to school their wooden spoon book characters.

  Thanks to Stephen, Thomas, Bradden, Gordon, Gerry and Chris from 'Waterways Ireland' who gave us a wonderful tour of Portna Lock gates and workshop today as part of 'Engineering Week 2020'.

  

• Fairtrade Bake Off

  Fairtrade Bake off 2020. P6 pupils produced 40 fabulous entries for this year's Fairtrade Bake Off . We had 9 winners! (Pictured with our judge Mrs Dowds) The winning categories included:Best use of Fairtrade Products, Taste, Presentation and Ingenuity. 
  A huge thank you to all those parents and grandparents who got involved in this fundraising event to highlight the need to support our Fairtrade Farmers and reach our Global Goals.
