Fairtrade Fortnight
🍌Fairtrade Fortnight 2021 was a little bit different than in previous years. We had no baked treats in school this year! However, we still managed to share the stories of the farmers who grow and harvest some of our favourite food and drinks, people who are often exploited and underpaid. The pupils of St.Columba’s used a variety of media to tell others about the challenges the farmers and their families face.🍌
Article 29 - Your education should help you learn to protect the environment and respect other people.
Article 32 - If you work you have the right to be safe and paid fairly.
Article 36 - You have the right to protection from any kind of exploitation.
