Our school community gathered together this morning to celebrate our End of Year Mass in St. Anne’s Oratory. Well done to all the Year 7 pupils who carried out their roles with respect and reverence during the Mass. Our sincere thank you to Fr McDermott for making the children feel so at ease during the ceremony and for his very fitting words of wisdom during his homily. Thanks also to our school choir, under the guidance of Miss Clare McKenna, who added much to this special occasion through their beautiful musical liturgy. After Mass, Year 7 parents visited the school for refreshments and to attend the Leavers Prizegiving Ceremony. Congratulations to all the very worthy award winners. We express our appreciation to Miss McKiernan for all her work in organising this very special morning. As the Year 7 pupils prepare to leave primary school, we hope the memories of their time in St. Columba’s will always remain with them. Although this part of their journey is ending, they are about to embark upon a new and exciting adventure. We wish them the very best of luck!
