Year 7 enjoyed a brilliant morning in Portglenone Forest with their friends from Kilrea Primary School. They were getting inspiration for our Pushkin topic 'Reforestation of the Imagination’. Thanks to Lynn and Liz our forest guides for a very interesting morning. 🌲💭

We held a wonderful assembly to mark the
retirement of Mrs Kathleen McGuckian, our school cook. Mrs McGuckian has served our school community for the last 33 years. We wish her a long and happy retirement. 💖🎉💐

Mrs Elizabeth Snelling from the Zomba Action Project charity visited St Columba’s this morning to talk to the children in Key Stage 1 and 2. She gave a presentation about schools in Zomba and how the money donated by our school goes to help educate the children there. We presented Mrs Snelling with a cheque to show our continued support of this wonderful project.
Celebrating International Women’s Day in St. Columba’s!
The boys and girls in Nursery have enjoyed exploring the topic ‘People who Help Us’. They visited Mrs Martin and Mrs Mellon and invited Bridie our caretaker and Tony the lollipop man to visit their classroom. They were also visited by Aideen’s mummy who is a doctor, and Katie and Tomas’s mummies who are nurses. 👩🏻⚕️🩺🚑🚸
