  Today we marked 'World Children's Day' in St. Columba’s. World Children's Day marks the anniversary of the date that the UN General Assembly adopted the Declaration and Convention on the Rights of the Child. 

  Article 31: Every child has the right to relax and play and take place in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.

  What an exciting day for all our pupils. Each child from Year 1 to Year 7 was greeted with a free slice of toast this morning. This marks the launch of our daily ‘Toast for Tots’ initiative, generously funded by our PTA. Massive thanks also to James and Louise  Donaghy @ Donaghy Bros. for generously donating additional toasters and to Maggie Dallat for her generosity of time in collecting our loaves.
