St. Columba's raised £1000 for Concern. Sarah Egan from Concern Worldwide came to talk to us, to help us to understand the struggle in Africa and how our money will go to help the poor people in Africa.

As part of our Shared Education along with Kilrea Primary School we finally released our salmon into the River Bann after looking after them for 6 weeks in our classroom

Year 5/6 decide to study the famous BFG book by Roald Dahl. The poor BFG didn't get the opportunity to go to a fantastic school like St. Columba's and as a result his grammar is often somewhat muddled. As an ode to the BFG Year 5/6 decided to describe themselves in the BFG's idiosyncratic language, known as GOBBLEFUNK!
