Well done to our classmates who have achieved recognition for their attendance this year. In Year 4 there were two boys with 100% attendance and three others who had 99% or above....CONGRATULATIONS!!👏👏

St. Columba's Talent show displayed the wonderful talent of our pupils from Nursery to Year 7. It was great to see so many pupils participate in the show and the wealth of talent was amazing! Future stars in the making...🌟🌟🌟

Year 4 enjoyed their Mathematics and Numeracy topic work on Length. They had great fun measuring the length of the different parts of their bodies...
🎪😎☀️ School Trip to Liesureland! ☀️😎🎪
Year 4 had a fantastic day in Leisureland in Redcastle on their school trip. After a comfortable bus journey, there were lots of fun amusements and rides to keep us entertained the whole day. Especially the Bumper Cars which were a big hit!!🚙🚙
💦💧🚌 The Water Bus Visits St. Columba's 🚌💧💦
Year 4 were very lucky to join the Key Stage 2 children when they visited the Northern Ireland Water Bus when it parked up in our playground. The children learned all about the Water Cycle, how we use water in our home and the purification process. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the different workshops on-board and contributed to the different activities with their wealth of knowledge about water

Year 4 celebrated the Sacrament of First Communion in St. Mary's Church, Drumagarner on Saturday 28th May. The children have been busy working hard in school preparing for this special day. They looked beautiful in their dresses and suits. It was a memorable day they will never forget.

Year 4 have been enjoying their Friday PE sessions with the Derry GAA Coach Colm. He has been working with the children to develop their Gaelic Football skills. With a bit of luck, when the sun is out, the children get to display their talent. Have a look and see if you can spot any future stars...

🎓⏱ Mathematicians in the Making! ⏱🎓
Year 4 have been developing their Knowledge and Understanding in Mathematics and Numeracy through the use of iPads.📱 They have been practising the skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using the 'Maths Bingo' App. Who knew Maths could be so much fun!!!👍🏻
We also had great fun investigating 3-D shapes and their properties. The children took it in turns to wear the blindfold and pick a shape from the 'feely-bag'. They had to guess which shape had been chosen based on its properties and describe the shape to their peers. The children displayed great knowledge of 3-D shapes and had lots of fun too!

Year 4 have been concentrating on Writing Instructions in their Literacy this term. They have been busy 'Making Tea' ☕️ and 'Planting Seeds' 🌱 to assist them with their writing. Click the links to see us in action!
Year 4 have been learning all about World War Two through their World Around Us topic 'A Blast From the Past'. They have been busy making gas masks, creating identity cards and cracking secret codes during their Activity Based Learning lessons. Watch our video to see exactly what we've been up to!
