School Trip to Woodhall

Shared Education Salmon Project
As part of their Salmon Project, Year 6, along with their shared education partners from Kilrea Primary went to visit the Salmon Station on Bushmills. The children were shown the different stages in the life of Atlantic salmon and enjoyed a nature walk along the River Bush. Thanks to Mr Mark Patterson who facilitated the project.

Causeway Coast and Glens Innovation Challenge
Congratulations to Sophia Maguire who was chosen as the overall winner of the innovation challenge. She won a 3D printer for the school.

Salmon Project
Mark and Steven delivered some salmon eggs to the classroom. Over the next few weeks we will spend sometime looking after them, checking the water temperature and removing dead eggs. We look forward to watching them change into alevins and fry before they are returned to the river.
