European Day of Languages
We celebrated European Day of Languages by counting to 10 in German.

We had a visit from Cancer Focus. We learned about how to keep our bodies fit and healthy. We got to meet Genevieve the Goat who told us how she keeps healthy by eating her five portions of fruit and vegetables a day as well as drinking lots of water and milk!
Every child has the right to the best possible health. Governments must work to provide good quality health care, clean water, nutritious food and a clean environment so that children can stay healthy. Richer countries must help poorer countries achieve this. ARTICLE 24 UNCRC
Halloween Fun!

Christmas Cinema Trip
Nursery, Foundation stage and Key Stage 1 travelled to Maghera Cinema to watch Nativity Rocks! We loved lying back on the seats and enjoyed watching the film!

Welly Wednesday
We had so much fun during our first Welly Wednesday. We explored our outdoor area and had a hot chocolate break to warm us up! The bug hotel didn't seem to have too many guests but we will keep an eye out for any new bugs checking in. 🐌🐛🕷🐜🌿🍃🕸
Santa Brunch!

We have been learning about The Post Office! After writing our letters to our mums and dads we made the journey up Coleraine Street to buy our stamps and post our letters. On route we met the post man and spotted his van along the way. He told us all about his job at Royal Mail.

Sustrans
Johnny from Sustrans delivered a lesson about bike safety to Year 1.

Stay and Play for Grandparent's Day!
We invited our grandparents into our classroom for a play session and a cup of tea, it was so much fun!

Fairtrade Fortnight
We have been learning about the rights of farmers in other countries. Check out the fun we had learning about Pablo the fairtrade banana.

A Visit from the Farmers!
Farmer Pat and Farmer Sinead came to our class, they told us all about their farm and the animals they keep.
Green Day!
We dressed in our many shades of green to celebrate St. Patrick. To mark the day we enjoyed some Irish dancing during our PE lesson....Riverdance watch out!
