What is STEM?
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM activities are practical and encourage children to think independently and find solutions to problems. We want our children to develop the necessary skills to go out in to the world and develop their chosen career.
Which material is best?
Year Four tested materials to see which one would be best to use to block out sound such as a World War Two air raid siren. They talked about how they could make the investigation fair and how they could measure it. Most children predicted the sponge material would be best and in the end it was.
